LUSH - AQUA MIRABILIS BODY BUTTER REVIEW

Aqua Mirabilis £5.50 95g
(Body Butter Tin £2.95)

Ingredients:
Cocoa Butter, Almond Butter, Laureth 4, Ground Almond Shells,Sandalwood Oil, Rose Absolute, Perfume
*occurs naturally in essential oils

I’ve forever been looking for the best exfoliator for my skin. I did at one point use a L’Occitane Body Exfoliator until it got discontinued and I haven’t found a comparable one since.
I want my body exfoliator to get rid of dry/dead skin cells, as well as lumpy bumpy bits (especially on the upper arm part) but moisturising at the same time. I don’t mind it being grainy (but not too harsh) because I like to feel like it’s working. Am I being too picky? haha!

Lush was not my first pick of brand because the strong, sweet smell from the store put me off going in there but many of the YouTube beauty gurus I watch, recommend the products... so I thought, why not?

The sales lady in the store recommended Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter Bar. I’m pretty happy with the results and it’s one of the only exfoliators that I have found that fit “my specification.” The almond shells help to scrub away the dry/dead skin cells without being it’s not too grainy and help minimise the bumpy bits on my arms. The cocoa butter and almond butter leave my skin feeling soft and moisturised. The guys at Lush did say you can use this up to 3 times a week (I only use it twice), which goes to show it’s not harsh. The ingredients combined smell absolutely yummy!!! I love, love, love it!! There is a nutty tone to the smell but later, once you start using the bar, it smells like a freshly baked biscuit. But don’t worry... you don’t leave the bathroom smelling like a chocolate digestive! ;p

I would wash with my usual body was first and then use the Aqua Mirabilis. I’ve tried using it with body polish gloves but the best way to use it is literally bar to body. Take the bar to your skin and smooth over your skin then use your hands in circular motions just like any other body exfoliator.

My skin is left smooth and moisturised. I would also, recommend buying the body butter tin (only £2.95!)  just to keep it separate your other soaps, etc.

Overall, I’m impressed! ^.^

PACO RABANNE - LADY MILLION

I'm the worst person to recommend perfume. I have bought the same perfume since I was 18 and luckily I tend to receive them as Christmas/Birthday fillers. However a trip to The Perfume Shop with my boyfriend's sister left me AND her leaving the shop with this lil' gem.

I am prone to loving scents that are fruity, sweet, fresh and light and Lady Million ticks all the boxes plus a bit more. I think this is the start to a new obsession, I have already asked my mum to pick up Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb for me at duty free when they return to London. Cannot wait to get my hands on that.

Now I couldn't tell you the individual scents of Lady Million but it is totally lush and would recommend 1 Million as well for the daddy's and boyfriend's out there.

Any perfumes on your list?

E.L.F STUDIO: TWO-WAY FOUNDATION

I'm not a hardcore foundation girl. I can totally live without it but it helps me get by when I have my 'bad days'. I have trialed and tested a few and have realised my skin works best with a powder formula rather than liquid. I will be extremely happy though the day I find the perfect liquid foundation for me!

Ok, so I am a big fan of this produt. (Not sure what the two-way cake thing means though =/ ) It totally reminds me of MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation which I currently use as well. It's light and offers great coverage, most importantly it includes SPF 15 (Don't forget your SPF people!). I purchased Rosy Beige on a whim and matches my skin tone perfectly.

I did purchase this in Watsons in Philippines for a few pennies. If you're looking for a powder foundation that offers good coverage and makes your skin look flawless without feeling overly heavy, I would defo recommend this. Amazingly cheap as well. It hasn't got the greatest packaging in the world but the cost makes up for that.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on their website so not sure if this is sold to the Asian market exclusively or not. I would definitely buy this again when I'm out there.

Recommend any other foundations? We're always looking to try out new products!
